Is it surge proof?

I know that mine personally works, but then again mine is also a back-up power generator.

From what I know, the question really lies in the amps. If there are too many amps on the same circuit, you'll blow up. Well, sorta. Household circuits can usually hold about fifteen amps. 1000s usually have an amperage of about 9. I'd say your dvd player is anywhere between 2 and 6 (not sure though) and I'm also not sure about the amperage of the heat lamps. It should show it on the backs of them, though. If it exceeds fifteen, plug one of them in through a seperate grounded line, and it'll be fine.
