Thanks for saying what you did about me and my viewpoints..that is respect..thank you. I don't think that would have been right about the Firefighters and the Police Officers..even though it was in the line of duty that should have made their settlements a priority..not leaving families..and all those children to live with insecurity..thats not right imo. My husband told me that the buildings were built that way also..because of what happened in 93. Im sorry you were there that day..I can't imagine..your right on that one. I was sleeping in on 9-11..my husband called (he was out of State) and told me to turn the damn t.v. on..so I did..and it was like a good 10 minutes before we figured out what had happened..I turned the t.v. on right before the second plane flew in the other tower. Do you live in fear? Because of 9-11? No I am not saying like a coward would fear..but more like is it always on your mind? Especially being that close to the site? I' going to have to see what I can find out about the settlements..I am just curious what the price of their lives were deemed worth compared to the upper echelons..think thats the word for it...oh..and I like all of the different posts on here..if you guys all agreed it would be very boring..and kind of communist like..i just didn't like being threatened yesterday..but it is all good now. Can you tell I am "blessed" tonight haha..feeling very mellow.

Why are we being allowed to have internet access then? To even discuss all of this about our Government? Seriously..look at how China controls what their citizens have access too..just explaining how I look at it. I was very lucky - as was my wife. I can't say very much here about it, at least until I retire (early) in a couple of years. We have huge mechanical steel barricades that come up out of the street to keep unchecked vehicles from entering the financial district. Cops with uzis, and police dogs, are all around as well. There are bomb sniffing Labs, private security people, and undercover agents all over. It's just a way of life.

I forgot to mention that I was across the street from the Trade Center when they bombed it's garage in '93, and I went inside the building after it happened. I thought that the explosion was much further uptown. I used to work in several of the WTC buildings, some time ago, before any of these things happened.

After 9/11, we also had to deal with the possiblilty of Anthrax , bomb threats to the buildings, subway attack threats, etc.

I would say that I had post-traumatic stress, along with many other people here. It really felt like we were in a war zone - and still does, four and a half years later, but the PTSD has subsided.

All in all, it wasn't easy, and still isn't - but you just have to keep yourself going, stay busy, and be aware of your surroundings and the people around you.

Um... At&t just filed a class action law suit that said they has contracted through the NSA to filter ALL internet transactions. We are allowed to do it cause they can't stop it, we'd notice... but they can watch us. And if we break the law they will quickly hush us up and throw us in jail.... we have more people in jails than all other countries combined.

When our presidents grandfather was a cheif member of the nazi party in America I find it hard to believe there is no connection. Just look into it... they get away with it cause nobody cares... we watch american idol and talk about it all day at school or work... america is a bunch of sheep and they are they sheppards... just think about it... take some mushrooms if you need to, it'll give you some prespective maybe... but maybe people just don't see it cause it's everywhere...

I don't think your crazy Gumby...I just don't agree with everything as you see it..alot of it..a big yes..and no way I would eat any mushrooms..haha..The only thing my body reacts well to is MJ and B-12..haha.no way i could do mushrooms. I admit it..just the idea is weird..I wouldn't have a clue I will just visit here sometimes when I am relaxed and gain what perspective I need for right now. You stand strong in what you believe. What do you think about solar panels instead of paying to use a grid for energy? And checkout the rebates on Californias rewards to people that use solar panels...self suffiency. To me that is a grassroots movement.

I would love nothing more than to live in a world with out having to pay the government for anything... and that includes energy. I just hate that I live in florida... I'd rather help change it than leave it but it's gone down the shitter fast. We are one of the largest police states their is... do you not think it's odd that two Bushes ran the states with the most death sentences?? But I'm waiting for them to come find me and arrest me for not hurting anyone before I run away and become completely self sufficent... untill then I just hope to use what they give me to help spread the word.
