    The Gospel of Judas

the so-called 'gospel of Judas' is horsecrap .. just one of several 'discovered texts' that were dismissed hundreds of years ago, as fraudulent stories written hundreds of years after Christ's Resurrection ... personally, I don't prosthletize the Gospel, as I believe salvation begins after the Holy Spirit has drawn us to Him, I doubt anything I can say will change anyone's mind ... I care less who thinks I'm a fool for believing in the Salvation offered to us all by Christ, all I care about is how HE regards me ... I pray for the unbelievers, that they may find their way to the Lord ... you dont have to go far, He is right beside you, waiting ...
TOROG, you are 'right-on" my brother

    The Gospel of Judas

If the "Lord" really wants me to "find" him, he'll realize that I'm the skeptical type and he'll leave me some sort of objective evidence so I can verify he exists. Until that happens, I'll pile him with the other creatures who won't provide me with any objective evidence of themselves, such as leprechauns, Zeus, Bigfoot, Santa Claus, Vishnu, Xenu, the Loch Ness Monster, Satan, the Tooth Fairy, Allah, the Flying Spaghetti Monster, honest politicians, Baal and Thor.

    Howdy Onerironaut,

God doesn't have to prove that He exists.. to you..it's up to you--to prove that you are worthy of the many blessings that He's bestowed upon you..you are God's child..and He will always love you..however..the only way to git to Heaven,is through His Son,Jesus Christ.

Have a good one ! :stoned:

He was specially picked by God because he was a dirty backstabbing human.
He got paid his blood money and I would think some angry dudes kicked his door in during the storm, dragged him from the casa and lynched him where there where no witnesses and claimed it was suicide.
If you look at the original police report on the incident you will see clearly that there was bruising to his face and lip and he was handcuffed behind his back, also the noose was to high for him to have done it without a horse.
a more extensive examination conducted by the leading Roman phorensic scientist maxumus boloxus revieled several coins of sivler lodged in his large bowel.
It is quite likly that he was murdered. and it is most unusual over the next 2000 years for christians to name there sons Judas. unlike matthew mark luke etc.
Grassing is one of the sad and depraved back stabbing tactics used by cowards and un confrontational people with a personality disorder. they dont even get payed most of the time as it is done to Gloat in private probably during masturbation.
The so called Judas tapes as i shall call them are nothing but a fabrication ment to cloud the facts. A common tactic used by law enforcement throughout the world. to protect there sorce. Cops have only contempt for a dirty grass, help them until the trial and after that they are of no further use and are discarded, hence the lynching of Judas.
The moral of the story is that if you are thinking of GRASSING DONT.
    thats my advice.

I can't help the fact that I'm skeptical. My brain simply won't accept something unless I see sufficient evidence of it. What kind of loving god would punish me for that? It's not something I can control. I just need evidence to believe in something, especially extraordinary claims like people being born by virgins and coming back from the dead. I can't just pick up an ancient text and force my brain to believe it. If your God wants me to believe in him and become a Christian, and he has the least bit of respect for me, he'll realize that all I want is a little evidence and he'll provide it for me. If he can't do that and wants to send me to hell for not believing something I was not provided sufficient evidence for, well, I'd rather go to hell than worship an asshole like that anyways.

what would you say if you found out the majority of elephants believed in a higher force and lived their life according to what is designated by Him/It?

We are just as "meaningless" as you would label any other animal in our world. Ants, Lions, Sharks, Humans, Zebras all have life expectencies, struggles, patterns, goals: what makes us the "special" designated species that obeys a "higher being"; our brain skews the everpresent reality of evolution with mere literature.

We are creatures that have a brain far more complex than those of other animals and yet we are being lured into this train of thought of higher being. I just don't get it.

    Howdy Oneironaut,

It's good to be skeptical..there are many who would lead you astray. I think part of yer poblem,is that you haven't been alive long enough to git a better feel for yer soul and yer place,in the universe. For instance, have you been married yet and had children ? If you haven't,that's a whole lot of Life, that you ain't been forged by yet. Have you ever been broke and home-less ? Have you ever had to fight for yer life ? How many times have you had to give up everything that you owned and started over from scratch ? If any of these things happened to you-did you ever call out to God for help ?

    Have a good one ...

any religion less than three thousand years old is a cult.
and at thgeur core, the vast majority are preaching the same tenents... it's when man gets involved that things get shaky.
personally, i'd love to see the tenents of jesus of nazareth be followed more. he is the most famous long-haired radical socalist jew of all time, after all.

I heard it was illegal, in many places. I was sleeping and I'm not sure in what context he used it in. It's a hard-rock station's morning show, why Judas was mentioned, I have no clue.

What if Judas just didn't wanna look like a dickhead for what he did to Jesus, so he wrote this "gospel" portraying his side of the story. "Uh... well people think that i betrayed Jesus... but uh... they don't know that... he asked me to do it?... yeah he asked me to do it, so... oh yeah this is my official gospel so it HAS to be true"
