Space Exploration?
Sending a few men to mars for a couple months is estimated to cost something like a half trillion dollars. So, what would it cost to send thousands of people to another star? I don't have a clue, beyond that it would be a large portion of the resources of the entire world for a generation. Whether or not that would be a good idea is open to debate, but it isn't gonna happen, at least in our lifetimes. Maybe they should figure out how to make my satellite dish work when it rains before attempting to colonize the galaxy.
\"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will, within limits drawn by the equal rights of others. I do not add \"within the limits of the law\', because law if often but the tyrant\'s will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.\"-Thomas Jefferson.

The idea is not to hurry up and move to another planet...I'm saying that those countries that are currently allocating funds for space exploration should establish a central Space Intelligence Agency so that the world can put their heads together and be more efficient. As of right now...everybody is off on their own...racing to be the first to do this that and the other thing. We are limiting progress by keeping to ourselves on this matter. No one is saying that this is our number one priority or that we should increase the amount of money spent on space exploration...Let's put our money and our minds together and give ourselves the best chance to be successful.
I suggest locking the leader's from every country in a room....supplying them with some Purple Haze, munchies and great music. Let them pass the peace pipe for a while. There are so many people fighting these days, usually for someone else's cause.

Yeah, their leaders' causes. Let's put some Zyklon B in that room instead.
