Smoking with old friends...
I posted about this in another thread but I think it needs it's own thread. I just spent the afternoon with an old boyfriend, we smoked over and over, and talked about life. We talked about now and 10 years ago when we dated. Now we are totally just friends, of course, but for about 3 hours today I felt like a teenager again. He got out his guitar and played songs, some he'd even written for me back in the day. Suddenly, I felt like it was 1993-1995, smoked up and in love with a chain smoking, tatted out musician who's lived some where in my heart since high school still. And, oh, those beautiful blue eyes and he kept telling me over and over again how beautiful I am...anyway, I feel fantastic, like I am re energized and alive again.
If anyone ever gets the chance to do something like this, do it, as long as you can keep your hands to yourself and just remain friends, go for it. You will feel 100% than you do right now. Sorry for all of the info but I felt the need to share with ppl who'd understand!maryjanemama Reviewed by maryjanemama on . Smoking with old friends... I dont even have the energy to type this, im sick as a dog. 103 fever.
I smoked with an old girlfriend before and it was great. I felt just like you felt. Except i missed her, and i wanted to get with her but i knew i shouldnt, she has a man, and it killed me just sitting there smoking with her pretending everything was fine.
It was fun and we talked and reminisced. Havent talked to her since.
Man, i miss her. Ive never had the relationship ive had with that girl with anyone else.

I smoke with my best freinds everyday i dont care what people say they will always have a part of my heart.
Every time I close my eyes I start to drift away- Thinkin bout some days gone by how time just
floats away- every time I hear that song puts a smile on my face- brings me back to good friends
and times that money cant replaceDaydreamin\' fazes, time goes by
That\'s what happens when you get high
Head\'s always cloudy, words is lies
Daydreamin\' fazes, I yes I

It's only a good idea if you know where the lines are drawn and you don't cross them. That only comes if you have respect for the other person and where their life is at. His gf would definately have a fit if she found out that I was there and he didn't tell her about it. So he called her first and she said it was cool, so we hung out. I also told my husband. If you feel it would be uncomfortable or you'd have to keep secrets about it, don't do it. But if you can get past the bs in life and do it and have fun, go for it. Hell yeah I wanted to jump on him and lick him, but I didn't and I won't, but I will smoke with him and talk to him and hang with him as long as it's OK with everybody involved. At this point, no one can stop us from having some sort of a relationship with each other, so our signifigent others should be happy that we are only friends.

I had a similiar experiance a while ago. I know i'm younger than you, maryjanemama, so my history with her didn't go as far back as your with your ex, i mean i would have been 7 when you were with him lol, but it's the same kinda thing..
I was walking down the road when I bumped into this girl I used to know. She had been my best friend for about 5 years, but i had known her for about 10 years before that. We were the best of best friends, but, as alot of guys do, I started wanting to be more than 'just friends'. But, before I even let on to anyone how I felt, she, Amy, hooked up with my best male friend. So, out of respect for both of them, I kept my mouth shut. Anyway, as me and her got older our lives changed and we started seeing eachother less and less, to the disappiontment of both of us, because, I found out one night, that she had similiar feelings for me as I had for her. It used to kill me when I saw them together... Anyway, I was walking down the road one day and bumped into her.. she invited me round to hers for a smoke, but I didn't know that by "hers" she meant "her and her boyfriend's apartment".. so when I got there, he was there too.. I got on with him well enough, he was a nice guy. I would have been angry if he had been a complete tosser, because she can do better, but in my opinion he seemed deserving of her.. I know this might sound wierd but these were my feelings at the time. anyway, as we smoked more and more and were reminiscing, he seemed to get slightly jealous because he could sense the bond between us that we were rekindling.. He left, looking slightly angry so it was just me and her.. it was awkward at first.. we kept sneeking looks at eachother then looking away when we saw the other was looking too.. it was one of those situations.. like you said maryjanemama, it was like being back in the past, not like I was falling for her, but like I had realised I never stopped caring for her in the first place.. eventually, we started talking about when she hooked up with my friend, and how we both felt about eachother.. I wanted to make a move and I knew she wouldnt have stopped me, I could tell that she felt the same, but still out of respect for her and her boyfriend and their relationship I didn't and tried to keep it just friendly.. it was so hard, and it hurt me to have to do it, I wished more than anythin that she didn't have a boyfriend and that he could have walked in at any second, I hated it.. anyway, I left that night not feeling happy but feeling disappointed, like I had lost something, like I had one last chance to get with someone that I had wanted to be with for years.. it wasn't a nice feeling, and I haven't seen her since.. I dunno what would happen if I saw her again and she was single.. but I can only hope, eh?

This is how stoned I was today: The ex (mentioned above) is in Vermont visiting his hippie mom, which I completely forgot. So, I call him to see if he wants to hang out and his gf answered!!! She was like, "What do you want?" OHHHH FUCKKKK!!!!!
She just happened to be home on her lunch break. She's an old friend but we haven't hung out in probably 7 years. I didn't know what to say, so I said the universal bonding words of all women, "Do you want to go shopping?"
She said yes. Lovely. So now, instead of toking up with the Irish hottie with the magic mouth, I am going shopping with his gf on Saturday!!!

LOL
tough break, maryjanemama
hey but it all might work out well. You and her become friends again, you hang out with her more, she invites you round, you hang out with the both of them, you become friends with both of them, you have an excuse to hang out with him without her being suspicious.. then, when she's least expecting it, possibly when shes depressed or suicidal and at her most vulnerable, you steal him out from under her nose, forever labelling you a back stabbing whore in her eyes and losing whatever respect and dignity you have, but at the same time getting the hot irish guy.
lol ok sorry, forget that, LOL but maybe it wont be so bad
