Just a quick list of my favorites:

1. The Last Waltz (My favorite Scorsese film, quite depressing how polarizing this was for members of The Band)

2. Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai (why watch lucas' and Tarentio's films, when you can watch the original material they stole it from)

In Fact, while on Kurosawa, pick up both 3. Rashomon and 4. The Hidden Fortress as well

5. David Mamet's Glengarry, Glenross (hey its a good substitue for the live action preformance)

6. Dario Argento's Phenomena (or any of Argento's horror flicks)

7. Where the Buffalo Roam (Bill Murray is the Best Hunter S. Thompson [you hear me Jonny!])
Dian Cecht Reviewed by Dian Cecht on . Can you recommend any good films? I joined up for this Tesco DVD rental scheme where I pay 13 quid a month and I can order as many DVDs as I want and keep them for as long as I want. Now, obviously I want to take the piss and get my moneys worth but I'd rather get recommendations than take a chance ordering random DVDs cos lets face it, most films are shite or just neutral :-/ So if you guys can recommend any movies you've seen I'd appreciate it. Here are some movies I currently have on order - if any of you have Rating: 5
