Left wing conspiracy theory: Zarqawi and bin Laden are myths

While keeping tabs on our good friends on the left over at Kos, I stumbled upon a diary titled "The myth of zarqawi". If you want to read the madness for yourself check here:

Essentially, the author thinks that b/c the administration has used propaganda in Iraq as part of its strategy to win peace there, that this means that McBushHitler is lying again about the war. The left wing mind works in this way: B/c people in the adminisration decided that pointing out the realities of the deaths that Zarqawi has perpetrated on thousands of innocent Iraqis in an attempt to single out and turn public opinion against the butcher, the only logical conclusion to draw is that Zarqawi's power and influence are just myths. Bush has used Zarqawi's existence and clout to justify our continued presence in Iraq, so Zarqawi's existence and clout must be lies. In other words, if Bush has used something to justify the war, it simply must be patently false. Nevermind the thousands of innocent dead Iraqis who were slaughtered at the hands of the al-Qaeda thugs. Bush probably lied about them, too. And if he didn't, then the dead Iraqis are all W's fault anyway.

Now, the author stops there, with Zarqawi. But the posters get even loonier. The posters concur with the more general BushLied rationale and extend it to Osama bin Laden. Since Bush used OBL's presence and clout to justify our initial military campaign in the Middle East, bin Laden's clout must be a Bush lie engineered by the evil Dr. Rove as well. The USS Cole bombings, the embassy bombings in Indonesia and 9/11, I guess, were sll just a part of a long-term Karl Rove conspiracy to steal the 2000 and 2004 elections for GW.

When will the insanity end? The left will never cease to amaze me.
