Hey, my friend wanted me to ask this, because he doesn't have the internet.
But, he had a huge collection of pot seeds that he took from all of his pot throughout the years, and he just recently germinated them, by putting them in water, and the ones with that sprouted, he planted in top soil in a little planting pot the size of a cup. He's using his old fish tank, and covered the whole thing in alluminum foil, the dull side, and has some plant lights on it. He's not planning on keeping them, and selling, etc... he just wanted to see if they'd grow, and since they did, here's our question:

Since he's doing this in a fishtank, as an "experiment" and has no intention of letting them grow tall or anything, we were wondering if we let it grow for a few months or so, until it's about 1'-2' tall, even if it hasn't flowered or anything, if there would be any THC content in the leaves or whatever, to dry out and smoke, because he doesn't want to risk having it start growing huge, and have his plant become obvious.

Also, we've both read up on how to induce flowering, by limiting the amount of light to simulate autumn/etc... so at the minimum, what's the shortest amount of time that we could have some bud to smoke?

Also how long would he have to grow the plant to get us high at all?

Because I have a shitload of seeds and I might try this too just to see if they will grow.

Well, how about you let it grow to say 5 inches, then flower it, cos you'll have bud, and it'll still be a small plant, smaller then if you let it grow to 2 foot....
