Does coughing make you higher?

the first day my buddie got his 4 Ft bong we tested it out. first i filled it and tried to clear it. then i fell on the kitchen floor and proceeded to have a hart attack. after i caughed for like 10 minutes straight, i was high as a mother fucker.

ppl get high from caughing jus when u cough u get more high cuz it means u took larger hits then usual

Firstly it depends on what kind of cannabis you are smoking. For Skunk or other intense varieties, per say Cheese, AK 47 and the possible fictional Pineapple Express, coughing does make you more stoned. This is due to the ratio of THC to the amount of oxygen exerted, in altered. Remember, when you cough air is released at an incredible rate, but at the same time air is also INHALED to make up for the shock. Therefor the sudden lack of oxygen from coughing makes you light headed whilst the sudden increase of oxygen draws the THC deeper into the lungs. This therefor creates a sense of being more stoned.

On the other hand, Less intense forms of cannabis, i.e Hash, coughing does not make you more stoned, reflecting the difference of THC levels and how oxygen has two parts to play!

Wow talk about gravedigging...3 years old and I doubt anyone WANTS to cough. I certainly don't vaporize in hopes of coughing. I'm getting more THC by vaporizing...problem solved. lol:hippy:

The whole "coughing dilates your bronchioles so they absorb more THC" is pretty much baseless, as by the time you cough, uh, you've pretty much EXHALED... 90% of the THC you inhale is absorbed within the first half second... Coughing and clearing your lungs of THC won't do you any good even if the above stated were true.

Speaking of, I'm FINALLY done my pneumonia, so I've been smoking again Getting kind of close to that newbie high, considering I had the infection for a month and a half :wtf:

i've heard studies that coughing rushes blood to the lungs probably allowing you to absorb and diffuse more thc? just a thought :stoned:

It definitely does, man. Sometimes I cough for other reasons than the weed and it gets me higher. For example, I had a bad cold recently and every time I got high as fuck because I was coughing just because my lungs were more sensitive to the smoke so it wasn't because I was taking big hits or smoking alot either
