A seeds life?
A seed, I would think, is un-alive. Or "dead". Although you need to be alive 1st, in order to be dead... so, maybe the seed is, un-born... or, un-alive.

How long? I don't know for sure, but I know people have grown plants with seeds from the '70s... !!!!

lol apparently they can last up to anything as far as seven years in good storage chucked in the draw under some cloths if not cushed should last a good 4 years
