A seeds life?
A seed, I would think, is un-alive. Or "dead". Although you need to be alive 1st, in order to be dead... so, maybe the seed is, un-born... or, un-alive.

lol apparently they can last up to anything as far as seven years in good storage chucked in the draw under some cloths if not cushed should last a good 4 years
