I have a question that I'm afraid to ask...
:stoned: Yeah I have a simple question that I am afraid to ask because I don't want anyone getting mean and telling me to look it up, so if it isn't too much trouble could someone tell me approximately when I should see my plants start to flower? I also would like to know if that's the time I'll be able to sex them. I do know how to do that. I have 10 plants, but only room for a few. Thanks a lot! :stoned: :smokin:

u should see flowering within the first 2 weeks that you switch the lighting to 12/12, but flowering genrally takes bout 2 months. to see them you put a male with a female and the males pollen sacks will send pollen to the females buds and the buds will form seeds.

We're sorry dude... nobody will rip your head off... promise....
Um, if you get a female, best thing you can do (IMO) is to clone it.... and there! You have guaranteed females always!

It's up 2 you when you want to sex the plant.
Turn the light cycle down to 12/12 and you should see the plants pre flowering in the first 2 weeks.
Males will have balls, and females will have white hairs.
When you see a male plant, take it out gently and kill it.
Leave the females under the light and carry on with 12/12
If you get male balls on a female plant is gone hermie.
You can still get bud, but make sure you pull off the balls and be careful not to let them pollenate the female, or you'll get seed and no bud.
Then when you have a female, take clones, and you'll have females all the way...Grow Grow Grow....
Good luck

Ok, so when do I know it's time to switch the light cycle? I thought it was when they start flowering , I guess I was wrong. and how do you clone a female? My plants are about 5 weeks old. Thanks for not ripping my head off, Turtle, cause I get better info on here than I have from anything I researched on th internet. Cute poem by the way, I like that.

Thank you, but WHEN should I change the light cycle to 12/12? Do they have to be a certain age or height?

Only kidding Poohcat........................ It really is up to you. You said you don't have much room so how big would you like them to be at harvest?
I usually start inducing flowering by switching the lamp to the 12/12 cycle when the plants reach about 18 inch (half a metre) in height. This means that when ready for harvest the plants should have grown to about a yard (one metre) in height.
Generally the plants then should have started to flower with the next two weeks or there abouts. Usually the males will flower first so just get rid of them as soon as they show themselves.

What kind of lighting do you have? if you have HID lighting you can let them get a little tall during veg if you want then when ur happy with the size switch to 12/12. If you have CFL or flouros I wouldnt let them get to tall during veg cycle. Remember they will just about double in size from the time u end veg stage till havest time. You have control on how tall you want them to be
