music(drum beats) question

Well I play guitar a few hours a day and I am starting to record here and there. I am just wondering if anyone is experienced in creating drum beats like the type of stuff in the band The Postal Service. I don't have anyone to drum with and I kind of would like to explore this route. If you have any info on where I can get started, it'd be greatly greatly appreciated!

theres this program i ahve called FL studio 6 i can makes drums beats and shit but its pretty hard to learn

ah thanks! got that prog now, and it is awesome! just pretty much figured the basics out now, onto experimentation!
