It all makes sense... so you run 18hours of blue (6500K) for veg and when flowering, run 12hours of red (3000K) pretty much...

I'm also a fan for flourescents because of their practicality and cost effectiveness... but I searched around for anyone who had successfully grown anything with them, and got no positive results... its nice to actually make sure someone has...

I prefer flourescents for the peace of mind they bring ... if I am delayed away from home, I dont have to wonder if my plants are burning, if the fan quit and burned my house down, or running my house A/C because of the extra heat from my grow room ... I do NOT get the huge colas sodium lamps produce ... SODIUM ROCKS ! ... but, I get very heavy budding, and presentable yields ... yield is the only difference, my Quality has been as good as any lightsource out there ...
I am presently building a CFL clone and seedstart box, to free my big cabinet up for only flowering ... P.S., I'm 'old-school' dirt farmer, while hydro is the cats-ass, I just never wanted to get that technical about it ...

P.S. off the subject ... I see lots of young people in here, and am aghast at their common lack of language skills ... guys, get an education ... when youre young and high, the world is your toy, BUT time runs out on ya ... soon, you will starve without work, and staying high isnt good for your career choices ... use, but don't abuse ... ( just my version of a Public Service Announcement, it's meant to be Positive ) ... :smokin:
