Please UPDATE your "I-love-You"s

Hello guys,

I really hope you, and all your loved ones are good when you read this.

I'm writing this because of something that happened yesterday... the brother of a friend of mine, died in a car accident.

I still don't have all the details, but he was using his seat belt, and he was not under the influence of alcohol... but the crash was so violent, he died hours later in the hospital.

I wasn't that close to the friend that died, but I'm closer to his brother.

Speaking with him, I realize he has this deep sense of "guilt", because the last words he and his brother exchanged where a "brotherly fight". They argued about something, and both of them left their own way for the day. That was the last my friend was able to speak with his brother.

Why am I writing this?
I'd like to ask you all, to keep your "I Love You"s up to date with all your loved ones, family members, and friends.

Life, and death. Just in the blink of an eye. You don't receive an advanced warning eMail... it just...happens...

This situation gives some "perspective" to life... to what's important. To what matters.

Love. Love, being loved, and giving love.

I'm not in need of "emotional support" from you guys... I'm very relaxed, and this hasn't affected me "negatively". But, it's astonishing.

I just wanted to post this, as I'd like to ask you all to not leave with "a sour note".

My mother always told me: Try and make the best out of everything... every moment... you don't know if that'll be your last.

Pretty tough, but that's life. Game over.

You have a point, i have argued with too many people i love and care for, thankyou for opening my eyes to it, your so right...

MY grandad died the day after my birthday when i was 10, and i never got a chance to say thank you for my present before he went.

Wow im really sorry man, i had a close friend Justin who died in a car accident not too long ago. You have to let people know you care and that you love them, cause you never know when. Stay strong man your friend is in my prayers.

THANK YOU.you are 100% right here. this could happen to anyone and im sorry for your loss bro. now im making a promise to myself to tell all loved ones i love them when i leave to go anywere, thank you as i dont think i could live with myself if this dreadfull situatoin should happen to me .the postman.

Hello Turtle You're story brings back a memory from years ago, when I was 15years old.
Myself and a friend of mine were talking to two sixteen year old boys, we knew them well. One of the boys always went out of his way to see me and to speak, we weren't going out only because he was to shy too ask. However we were friends and I was just waiting for him to ask.
Well the pair of them had motorbikes (mopeds really) and they said they just had to go into the next town for some reason, so off they went.
Anyway later that day my friend and myself were wondering why they never came back. Then we heard that there had been an accident and my friend was dead.
We later learned from witnesses that he didn't die imeadeately and his injuries were quite horrific. The accident ocurred only a few miniutes after he left us.
Well Turtle that made me grow up a bit, I then realised how fragile life is and know one knows when their time is coming.


As for telling those close that I love them, I think they already know. I can be having a right old argument with one of my kids or some other member of the family or a freind. Still I think they know that no matter what is said the love is still there and they know that words can't change the feelings.

Yea turtle thats real life man many of us just go about life and take it for granted. My best friend almost died on July 4th last year I had seen him 1 day before he had a pool accident, as he told me he was going to his familys house for a BBQ then my friend calls me the next morning saying the my "best friend" broke his neck and was in a coma. That broke my heart cause we've been close buds since the 5th grade. Hes in a wheel chair right now and only has some movement in his arms and upper body. Ive stuck it out with him since day 1 and I will continue to do it as I hope he fully recovers cause I love him like a brother, but that just proved to me how I took a simple thing like even walking for granted. I always try to express to my loved ones that I do care for them and love them cause anything can happen at any time well on that note
God bless everyone that I met here cause even tho we havent met or dont talk in person I still feel as you are good people to me. You know who you are and I hope you cool guys always keep in touch cause you guyz are great people:thumbsup:
