sortof a stupid question but i was just wondering...

if your blazing and a cop sees you and comes over to you, and as hes walking/running towards you, you throw all your shit away (pipes, joints, weed etc.). Would he still be able to book you on charges of paraphenilia and possession?

I dont see how you could ditch all that and put it in a spot the cop couldnt find it if he already had his eyes set on you and was making his way to you.

Yes he would just end up searching your car or person, and arrest you when he finds it.

From what i heard if you get caught trying to dispose of your stash its tampering with evidence, just bring enough to get high and if you get pulled over then eat the joint, or sack and you'll be fine but you have to be quick

I saw that happen on cops.

Instead, here are some thoughts:

NUMBER ONE, don't smoke dope anywhere outside of you or your friend's house/apartment.

NUMBER TWO, don't smoke dope anywhere outside of you or your friend's house/apartment.

NUMBER THREE, don't smoke dope anywhere outside of you or your friend's house/apartment.

Number four, if you feel you can rationalize not following any or all of rules 1-3, then just be prepared for getting busted and just accept it when it happens. Because it will happen.

Number five, don't travel with weed. If you absolutely must, then only take what you need during your travels. That way, if you do get busted, or lose your bag, you still have more at home.

Number six, if a cop zeros in on you, DON'T RUN. DON'T RESIST. DON'T TRY TO DITCH THE WEED. Just be cool and honest with him. If he's going to search you anyway, just come clean with him and DON'T LIE. He's gonna find it anyway. Cops get lied to all day long and they hate it. They also know when they are being lied to. So, if you are honest and give up your weed, there's a chance they'll just destroy it and not give you a ticket.

Number seven, don't mouth off to the cop or have an attitude. Act like you know you did wrong.

Number eight, if you just have to be out of the house with weed on you, just make sure it is as little as possible and is less than an amount that would trigger a felony. You *DO* know the amount you can hold before triggering certain misdemeanor levels and felonies, don't you?

Number nine, if you just have to be out of the house with weed on you, stay more than 1000 feet from schools, parks, or day care centers. yeah, I know it's hard to know how far you are from things like that, but if you are busted within 1000 feet of such places, you can get additional charges filed against you.

krustythfreakinclown, where do you smoke weed, the Vatican? I can break all those rules (obviously except for six and seven) and I'm not trying to sound badass or anything but around here it's common. I can do blunt walks to school and nobody even notices. I'm just surprised at how many people on here are nervous about smoking in public.

And Smoking Ganja, I've replayed the scenario of a cop coming up to me a million times and there's really only one place to put it all; up the holiest of holes. Let's face it, NOBODY enjoys cavity searches. There are other crimes being commited that don't involve reaching up a man's fudge cutter. So I say, blatantly shove your stuff up your poop chute to let him know you mean buisness. Let him know that you've got weed, but let him know it comes with a "price".

Keep in mind I've never tried that, but if I was a cop I'd MUCH rather hand out some parking tickets....?

And why in the hell are you smoking weed in public? And on your way to school, no less? You might as well not even show up if you're gonna go to school high.

BTW, when you get busted anywhere for any drug-related offense at any point in your life, it gets reported to the FBI and stays on your record forever. I have personal experience with this. Having such a record will make it difficult for you to get high-level jobs later in life and could damage you politically if you ever run for office.

Screw what your friends do. Just because they're dumb enough to smoke in public doesn't mean you have to be stupid with them. Don't smoke weed in public. Smoke inside a house or an apartment (in a car is a bad idea, also). If you choose to smoke in public anyway, just be resigned to the fact that you will be busted eventually.

Doing things like that seem cool right now, but they'll seem stupid when you get older. You can think I'm an asshole now, but you'll admit I'm right later. That's fine, because you'll figure it out for yourself later.

I actually think they couldn't charge you with possesion because its actually not in your possesions,and anyways you could argue with them and say "how do you know it hasn't been sitting there hours before we all got there" :thumbsup: ,Know what I mean.Once again It comes down to the hard cold evidence that like the saying saids "caught red handed"and thats not the case here is it?:smokin:

But he can arrest you on suspicion, and if he saw you ditch your gear then he'll take it in as evidence. But then they must prove beyond reasonable doubt that the gear was yours. If they find prints, your'e screwed. If they don't, they shouldn't be able to hold you.

Can't charge you for possession.
Can't charge you for tampering with evidence (unless he can prove the gear is yours)
Can arrest on suspicion.
Can take prints.

I think in this case the cops would win.

This basically sums it up. If you are seen in posession and caught ditching while in said posession...you might as well have just kept it because you're going down anyway. Now, you can fight it in court and say the cop was imagining things...but you're still in court. Remember...you might beat the rap, you won't be the ride...

On the other hand, if there just happens to be something laying by where you're standing, the cop can take that into evidence and attempt to charge you with it. However, they'll need to establish the chain of custody...in other words, are your fingerprints on the thing?

I run from cops i dont hang around but cops only see me when they are on patrol because everyone is pretty care free here...me and my friends walk down the street smoking j's and carrying bongs....its really only if you are downtown that they really do something.
