no drainage holes
Hi all. I've been growing in plastic storage containers. From the size of 4 inch pots to 2.5 gallon containers. I don't want the containers to get too big, I still need to carry them around.
So to prepare a container I put a one inch layer of pumice. To that I add a layer of fresh chicken manure. Then I top with potting soil and put the plants or seeds in. I water till the soil looks wet and then I allow the soil to dry out.
The reason I like this method of growing in soil is because there is no water drainage mess. Besides everytime you water with drainage holes your nutes are being flushed out too.Gen Reviewed by Gen on . no drainage holes Hi all. I've been growing in plastic storage containers.
