Get it out of your closet. Only have the plants and bulb in the closet, that would keep everything a lot cooler....your ballast might not even get to hott then .....I set my ballast on a metal rack... I made up so it aint touching anything at all ...you can never be to safe what you have somthing to hide like growing. Mine is in a cabinet with no fan but i took mine apart, the out side shield off. All of it is only warm to the touch now....PLEASE get it out of the closet though....thats not even safe....peace

Ballast heating up ?!?! i have a refurbished 400w hps with a 400w mh conversion bulb on and after an hour or so of being on the remote ballast is starting to get pretty warm on the sides..is that normal? ps i have a fan blowing on the plants and light ballast is on the top shelf of the closet any feedback would help thanks :rasta: Rating: 5
