Ive been brainstorming AC's for cabs and I was thinking if the cab was big enough, one of those window AC's could just be installed into the bottom back corner? Would this negatively affect the air for the plants? and would this be considered a good air intake? Peace
Hey bIdo...
I still haven't installed the a/c unit into my cab... but my setup is going to be different...

I ain't installing the a/c unit "in" the cabinet... I'm leaving it right where it is... in the wall, under the windows. But I'm going to build a box around it... and use fart fans to move air between the a/c box and the cabinet... connect everything with dryer ducts.

As to how to run an a/c in a grow operation... you could turn ON the a/c to cool the entire room, then just have your cab's air intake in to room.

But I would do it: Have the a/c cooling only the cabinet. Closed air circuit... that way, your a/c unit doesn't have too cool *everything* in the room. Which will include loses due to "heat", sunlight, walls, your ballasts... the air coming out of the cool tube (pretty warm)... your computer... your blunts.... etc.

You can do it any which way you like... I'm gonna do the closed-circuit thing I mentioned.

As to the a/c unit at the back of the cab... well, um, yeah... I guess it works. Just, give it more thought... if the looks like it, build it.

That's the best way, really...

Peace to you bIdo...
