Go to the floral shop in your area or walmart and get one of these (moisture meter). Real cheap and effective. Put it deep into the soil and if reads dry you know it's time to water.

Now the question, my plants are 5 weeks and I have them in 6" pots. They don't seem to need to be watered very often at all. I watered them Monday and it's now Friday. When I poke my finger into the soil, it's still moist about 1/2 inch down. Should I continue to wait to water them? I don't want to overwater. And if I'm not watering them every other day are they missing Rating: 5
