    temp control in my cab

I have this cabinet that I bought and built and is in my closet. Dimensions are 19"deep 31"wide 53"high. Light is 250watt HPS. Temp inside without fans is around 110, yikes! I have a number of computer fans taking it down to about 90.5. I understand this is still too high, but there is not much more i can do cause i dont feel like taking shit apart and fuckin with it in mid grow. so i intend to take the proper steps in giving it proper temp next grow, which brings us to the question: I have 3 fans that are 80mm and around 25-30cfm and 3 that are 90mm and 60cfm. I also have a 120 mm one but i dont know the cfm. when setting up next time, should i have the stronger ones as exhaust or intake? should i do away with the weaker ones and replace them with some more 90mm 60cfm ones? i dont really want to put more holes in the cab either but if i have to i have to. should i use that insulation tubing to pull heat from the light? any other suggestions or advice? thanks for any help i really appreciate it

I had that problem as well, and I sort of solved it two ways. First I dropped the AC in my apt a few degrees so the air going in was cooler. Second, I put a 6" box fan on the bottom facing up towards the light basically blowing hot air away. It dropped my temps inside to around 83 degrees.

    temp control in my cab

yeah I had the same probs and am slowly bringing the temps down. My temps now are about 90% not what I want but its going to have to do for now My temps were also at 109 with my closet door closed . Gave me lots of work to bring the temps down 18% with the door closed.
Few things I did to bring the heat down.
    my space is 2x4x7.
    1 250CFM booster exhaust fan on top (35bucks H.D.)
1 80CFM booster blowing fresh air at the bulb thru a cool tube(cool tube made from our FAQs)then throwing the hot air out of the cab box
1 80CFM booster blowing fresh air at the bottom
1 reg small fan blowing at the plants

and I will be adding a 100CFM cpu fan to blow more fresh to try to bring the temps down to my DREAM temps. Hopefully this helps

    DAMN 5 FANS

Hope all is good and u resolve ur problem and yes you will be making more holes in ur cab box

when i was in the closet i used a 250CFM at the top on the back so it wouldnt be noticed. I would insulate the sides around the fan where it meets the wood so muffle some sound. If stealth is a priority i would look around for a silent one. Put your smaller mm fans at the bottom instead of using a passive intake, youll get better exchange. Dont cook your plants ya bastard!

Having a fan on the bottom pointing directly up is a pretty good idea because the hot air would collect at the top, that's the theory. Does your 250HPS have an air cooled hood

if also possible move ur reflector a little higher from ur bulb cause if you have a dumb chrome reflector like me that adds heat cause the chrome absorbs heat. Another factor of more unnecessary heat adding to ur grow cab.... So from everything said what do plan on doing?
