I'm not a chemist (duh) but let me try. Psilocin is 4ho-dmt, psilocybin adds a phosphorus atom at the 4 position, which is, in theory at least, rapidly removed by the body to yeild psilocin. Very similar to the difference between 4ho and 4ace RCs.
