your take on the current trend of 'disclaimers'?

simple question, what do you think of the idea of a disclaimer itself, and what do you think about the people who use them? obviously, i have no intention of turning to a disclaimer at the last second, should anyone be brought up on charges on this site.

those who do use them, do you actually feel/believe it makes you safe from conviction?

I dont have a problem with the people who use them, although i think its a stupid idea. If we want to get cannabis legalised we need to stand up and say, fuck you, i smoke weed and i grow it, sue me!

If enough of us stand up we cant be ignored.

i think its stupid and gives them a false sense of security. if your doing a huge grow and documenting it on a public forum then it doesnt matter what your sig says when the dea is knocking on your door. as for all the hobby/personal growers, if it makes them feel better its all good but i dont think it matters.

these are just stupid kids who want to get high, they are not the smart adult responsible smokers like the rest of us. they dont stand for the beliefs behind marijuana lagalization, they just want to act cool and talk about pot

its not real easy for the police to get a search warrent, they have to have good information to start with, so i figure if your writing a few lines down(disclaimer) to stop youself from incriminating yourself, than good for you, you cant be to safe! i think its very smart!

yea, but think about it this way... the DEA isn't going to go after some teenager with a few pipes, and an oz or less, that's way too much trouble for one small bust, not to mention, if they did, it would send off red flags, which if anything, they aren't going to risk tipping off the people growing whole crops, or selling pounds at a time, just to bust some teen with a pipe and a bag, just for him to get on probation for 6 months... that's just ridiculous to even think about.

i'm sure, that if you somehow tried to commit illegal acts with an undercover you might then go to jail, but if you're stupid enough to invite some stranger over, that you met off the net, then you deserve to go to jail, for being stupid, you need to be saved from yourself. also with as large as this site is, i'm willing to lay down like everything i have to bet there's atleast ONE cop here, whether it be to watch for new tips (slang, places to hide shit so they can start looking there, and so on) or he's a crooked cop wanting nothing more then to chat with fellow stoners, i bet there's atleast one here.

with all that said, how many of you that use disclaimers, even have anything worthy of putting up a disclaimer? a disclaimer isn't going to help, no matter what, if the DEA wants to bust you bad enough, they will.. if the cops want to bust you bad enough, they will, and if you think about it, that disclaimer only makes you look more guilty, in a sense that it makes it seem as you if you have something to hide.
