    Need some Hydro Help

Well i've grown soil before but this summer i'm starting a hydro grow, simply for the yield diffrence.

I've been trying my best to read some threads here but most of them are about grows and not assemblies of hydro systems. From what I undertsand there are DWC, Bubbler, Drip, EBB n FLOW, a whole variation of setups but i'm not sure what I want to use. I'd like to go with the system using 5 x 5 gallon jugs, 1 plant per jug.

Any advice, links, or help that would be put here would be greatly appreciated.

    Whats up ustasa.

Hydro is deffinetly the way to go.

The 2 kinds of hydro I suggest for a first timer is DWC w/ 5 gal buckets or E/F w/ rockwell cubes.

They are both simple systems both have ups and downs. DWC is great for huge trees. But in DWC you have to keep your res temps low (68 is best) due to pathogens and such

Ebb and Flow is great for a SOG or Scrog type setup..more medium sizplants than huge trees like in DWC. The canopy is more even and you get better light intensity. Res temps are no worry in a e/f system.

There both great ways to grow.

If your wanting to buy a kit... the GH waterfarms are great. But I find it less expensive and more fun to DIY w/ 5 gallon buckets.

Flora Nova is a easy 2 part form. It works great.

I'll post some how-to pix for you later...I have to dig them up. lw

you will love dwc...If you follow simple rules and keep your temps down, you will be thrilled with your 1st time results, and there is plenty of others like snoop and myself to help you out.

ps, the waterfarms are aces...if you just want to buy.
best part is, you can design your own unitsonce you see how everything works. I'll get back with that how-to for you. I was meaning to do one anyway, for the hell of it. latewood

    Thanks so much latewood,

I must say that i've followed yours' as well as Snoops' grows quite vigorously and my hat goes off to you too gentlemen, as well as many others on this board.

What I am thinking of doing is running a DWC setup with a Drip incorporated as well, only because I heard the drip greatly helps the roots find the water as well as speeds up the root growth.

I was thinking that i'd simply keep my mothers in soil, permanantly under CFL's in vegetation and I could transfer clones straight into each 5 gall bucket right away? Is this how it would work?

If it's not to much of your time (Latewood, Snoop, anyone else) to give me a step by step setup process it would be awesome. No rush guys, at your own pace! Thanks alot.

hang in there...someone posted a how-to build dwc in hydro...called simple grow system or something like that.
I bumped this up earlier, I think it shows you how to build the bubbler and clone directly to it.
