A suggestion for Americans spreading the word
Defacement of currency is a violation of Title 18, Section 333 of the United States Code. Under this provision, currency defacement is generally defined as follows: Whoever mutilates, cuts, disfigures, perforates, unites or cements together, or does any other thing to any bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt issued by any national banking association, Federal Reserve Bank, or Federal Reserve System, with intent to render such item(s) unfit to be reissued, shall be fined not more than $100 or imprisoned not more than six months, or both.
Certainly not my intent, even if it was me expressing my 1st amendment rights to political speech, protected in the most broad terms by numerous Supreme Court precedents.
I would think that whoever wrote on that bill would want it to continue to be circulated.

Next time you get a $1 bill, write on it "This man grew marijuana!" and point to George Washington's face. Also, you might want to consider writing a URL like www.jackherer.com or www.norml.org.
