I sometimes carried matches (for my cigs) if I knew I was going to be out drinking heavily, because the odds of me losing my lighter were good. I wouldn't smoke weed with matches, but there's nothing wrong with lighting up a cig with 'em. That way no one steals your lighter

the sulfur burns off in a matter of seconds, after that initial cracking burn where it is bright and big flame, which lasts maybe one second, the wood is burning, nothing else.

Usually minors can buy the 5 packs that they have by the registers, ive never been carded when buying those. It probably varies by state though. Try it anyways u got nothing to lose.
