It seems like the majority of the people here and telling you to continue smoking despite your girlfriend's objections. I'm going to go against the crowd and suggest that you don't pick it back up again. You've been with your girlfriend for a year and for a 17 year old that's a long time to be in a commited relationship so I'm assuming that you guys love each other.

I may take some fire for this but I think that a relationship is more important that pot (ultimatly, which one will make you happier?). Obviously you're not going to get married to her because you're still young but I don't think that you should stop seeing her.

I, personally think that if you are this into weed to choose it over love then you've got bigger fish to fry than whether or not you should stay in this relationship. People say that marajuana addiction is non existent but I disagree, and I think it's proof enough that you would choose it over this woman you, presumably, love.

However there could be other aspects to this and you don't infact love her. In that case break up with her and live however you want becase at 17 you have better things to than waste your time in a relationship that doesn't make you happy...it's not worth your time.

Yes, I am 17 too don't think of me as a hypocrite because I went through a similar situation...only pot wasn't what we were fighting over and after some thinking I realized that she wasn't what I was looking for so I ended it and was much happier afterwards.
memoriesofhash Reviewed by memoriesofhash on . what to do?! I made a promise to Becky(girlfriend of about 1 year) that I would stop smoking and doing all drugs for a while. I had no problem giving up other drugs and as for weed, I needed a break anyways. So giving up weed was real easy but I'm deffinatly ready to start smoking again. It's only been about a month or so but it's enough time for me. She still doesnt want me to smoke and I'm even scared to bring it up with her cuz she gets pissed cuz she hates the shit I do.
