what to do?!
if you want to smoke then SMOKE! you only live once! then talk to her about it tell he why you do it and how it makes you feel, explain that smoking isnt bad! then if she goes nuts or still has a problem, think about what she means to you, i would leave her, if she cant be with you as you are then she doesnt need to be with you!

what to do?!
It seems like the majority of the people here and telling you to continue smoking despite your girlfriend's objections. I'm going to go against the crowd and suggest that you don't pick it back up again. You've been with your girlfriend for a year and for a 17 year old that's a long time to be in a commited relationship so I'm assuming that you guys love each other.
I may take some fire for this but I think that a relationship is more important that pot (ultimatly, which one will make you happier?). Obviously you're not going to get married to her because you're still young but I don't think that you should stop seeing her.
I, personally think that if you are this into weed to choose it over love then you've got bigger fish to fry than whether or not you should stay in this relationship. People say that marajuana addiction is non existent but I disagree, and I think it's proof enough that you would choose it over this woman you, presumably, love.
However there could be other aspects to this and you don't infact love her. In that case break up with her and live however you want becase at 17 you have better things to than waste your time in a relationship that doesn't make you happy...it's not worth your time.
EDIT:
Yes, I am 17 too don't think of me as a hypocrite because I went through a similar situation...only pot wasn't what we were fighting over and after some thinking I realized that she wasn't what I was looking for so I ended it and was much happier afterwards.

I say smoke and don't tell her.
It's none of her business.
It's not hurting her or anyone.
Don't let her find out, until (or if) you are ready to tell her.
You are 17... you are not married, you are not living together. You aren't smoking in her house or around her. You made it sound as if she made you quit... fuck that... her trying to make you quit is WAY more wrong then you hiding it from her. Some people will only look down on people that smoke... that's their loss, it doesn't have to be yours. If you can't change their mind then just become a stealthier smoker.

She fell in love with you, the you that smoked weed. She cant force you to live your life how she wants. That would make her a control freak. You have to talk to her, and tell her the benefits of smoking weed and tell her all the facts. She needs to know what shes talking about before she tries to make you stop.

Well sometimes two people can compromise quite well, relationships are about give and take but if you can't give or you are all giving without receiving then the relationship probably wont work.
