Smoking Strategies

Okay, so this thread is directed mostly towards people living with parents, or in non-smoking residence, or an situation that involved not being allowed to smoke, so having to hide it is the only option.

My situation -

I smoke with friends on occaison, with them, at their homes, but when I smoke by myself, I wait untill my parents are both asleep (like 10ish when I'm lucky), I chair-block my door, hang a sheet or towel over the top so smoke doesn't drift out, and I basically stand on my bed and hit my water bong while blowing my tokes out the window, which has two openings so the top directly sucks the smoke out. Afterwards, I just leave the window open for a bit and spray febreeze every once in a while.

I can't directly buy anything from a store or the net such as an air purifier or special smokeless device.

I'm just wondering if anybody with a similar situation can provide any techniques or warnings or "that's useless" comments :stoned: :thumbsup:

I pretty much do the same as you. I just blow it out the window, but it depends on say you live in a small neihgborhood like 12 feet distance apart but I live about an acre away from a neighbor.

I also go and chill on my roof and smoke. Look at the stars and have a good time. Altough Ive almost fallen off my roof

STEALTHIEST DEVICE SMOKEWISE IS THE bong or a vap.

due to the altered smell that is less pungent than natural pipe or joint

make sure to pack only enough for a hit at a time to avoid residual unfiltered smoke from the bowl getting into the air


keeping the window closed is safest a police dog can smell weed like a pro pitcher can throw a strike. just dont let yourself be overcome with carbon monoxide...it is truly a killer in large amounts

If you really don't want your parents to know you smoke I'd be careful with the use of incense, axe, febreeze, and all that stuff. Fist off make sure to put it away because although it's not incriminating there is only one thing you'd be using it all for. Also if your room starts to smell strongly of all the cleaning products they'll know something is up too.

I'm just telling you that because although my parents never caught me I once left a fan by my window and my dad walked in the next morning and he instantly knew what was up.

If you want my advice just go outside or wait until your parents arn't home because if you keep it up long enough you're bound to get busted at some point.

A window fan in the window, or a fan that fits in the window blowing outside, if the seal is decent around the fan and window, and the fan is strong enough it will lower the air pressure in your room causing a vaccum, in which air will rush in through cracks in walls, and around your closed door eliminating the need for the towel. Buy some Glade candles also.

I'm pretty much in the same situation, except I've never smoked at home... always at someone elses place or outside. I live way out where my nearest neighbor is half a mile away... Lately I've really been wanting to smoke a bit at home, this thread has really been a help to me too.

During the summer I definately smoke outdoors as much as possible. I live in a little town where there is little-to-no police activity. It's a huge druggy town, but it seems that nobody is ever busted for it unless they bring it to school or grow/sell it. I have a celing fan that I sometimes put on, I'm basically just trying to find a flawless routine to go through after every smoke. It's been working for a few months now no problem, i'm just always looking for ways to eliminate any little bit of paranoia I may have.

Lemme tell you one thing, blowing even the smallest smoke with your head sticking out the window will NOT work at all.
Dormmate knew what was up. Couldn't tell if it was cause of the towel under the door (though that's always there) or if he could really smell it.
I even already sprayed just a bit of Right Guard at the window and on myself.
And fairly enough time has passed for the smoke to have escaped.
Yet he STILL knew I was smokin up.
You can't fuckin escape it!

As far as stickin' your head out the window when you exhale smoke, it does indeed work sometimes, but only if the wind is not blowing in on you. It works if there is little to no wind, but you can never depend on mother nature.

Know what works the most? Window fan. I remember going to some kid's house and when I entered his room, I couldn't smell anything. Turns out he smokes cigs and weed everyday and blows the smoke from his comfy chair as the smoke is 'vaccumed' through the window fan.
He smokes with his parents merely only 8 feet away watching tv and they cant smell anything!

i put towels in my door, light insense (my parents know i love insense), spray axe, put up the window fan, and toke with a bowl or home made bong.. then blow it out the fan,
