Against The Rules?
I have a question... is it against the rules now to post a serious thread on these forums? It seems like it

I don't think it's really necessary to create a new thread just for this. Otherwise, it kind of seems you're contradicting the whole point.
Anyway, I like reading the silly threads. All the current 'serious' threads seem to be about psycho-drugs, who prefers what kind of movie/pipe/song/etc., or just personal thoughts. Same old shit. It may just be because it's my brand of humor, but clit boners and innuendo make an otherwise flat message board kind of interesting. Sides, it's the lounge. Serious applicants need apply to the more detailed cannabis boards.
I want to know what all you haters consider 'legitimate', and serious. While I agree the amount of silly threads may be getting too high, I don't really see any 'serious' threads that we are missing out on in the meantime.

Okay, so Cleve, I guess you're right. It just annoys me, the fact that it's almost like you shouldn't post anything that isn't innuendo or stuff like "lol hahaha lol hahahaha" all the way through. I'm trying to avoid doing it myself, but if people come here for the first time, and see that all over the boards, they won't get much of a good impression, you know? At least, I know I wouldn't. It just seems the boards are becomming, if not already, too "cliqueish" and that to get any kind of mutual respect and your threads taken seriously, you have to get to know the right people, and to do that you have to take part in all the bullshit spam threads, you know? Anyway, i'm sorry, that's just the way I see it, and I don't mean it as a personal insult to anyone imparticular.

No worries my man. I do agree with you on certain aspects, especially the first impression part, but as a whole, I don't think it's really hurting anyone.
It's as simple as this:
If everyone wants more serious threads and less silliness, then by all means, start posting more serious threads. Drown out the silliness, if need be.
I know this is kind of talk is pretty much directed towards Lola and Ammie, and I can see why some people would be turned off by what goes on, but they're just silly friends having a good time. They're not hurting anyone or talking smack or anything.
Again, if there is a need for more serious issues, then everyone should stop talking about how it should be, and actually do something about it. Give us topics to discuss... A lot of us have good thoughts to share, but no one is taking the initiative to do so.

I'm all for fun but I don't think these boards should be used like a personal message service. Pick up the phone if you want to yack on and on about personal stuff. Cleve, I like you alot but things are not as they seem...trust me.
