Which light for my rectangle space?

Hey guys I have a closet of 5'L x 2'W x 9'H

I was wondering which light would be best for this rectangle space, and how many plants do u think I should try to fit? not sure if i should try see of green or just place em on floor. any suggestions?

Im thinking the first link is the better light, but ive been hearing about this "cool tube". If u guys know a better one, plz tell :}

Anyhow, this is my first grow, and im looking to get something close to the best for my space. Im also ordering the B/w Poly to partition off the closet. Still not too sure about ventilation yet. I have a air purifier with a ioniozer and carbon filter on it. I was thinking about placing that in the grow room.

I will check that place out. Thx, but which 400w switchable is the best for a rectangle area? I dont want to go cheap seeing as im gonna keep this light forever :}

They are all about the same in my book. At least the insides are. I dig the cheap ones myself. My first ballasts were home made with no covers. Sure I lost the feeling in my arm a couple times when I touched the 1000 watt coils by acident but they worked fine.

thx for the replys. I guess neither is better for a rectangle room. Ill prob go with the first one. And sparrow.... ouch baby... ouch... Ive seen alot of cautionary tales on these boards. I think im gonna get me rubber gloves out or something all the time :P Im gonna look like some steel worker going in and out of my grow room lol

Being a first time grower, do u guys know how many i should plant in that space. I was thinking about the SOG. but for a first timer, it seems hard.

I figured that i would plant 12. my guess is some will die, some will be male. so I might be left with 6. Ive searched but couldnt find what an average yield of 6 plants would be under a 400w mh for veg and switch to 400 hps for flower. {considering I might grow comercial bag seed for my first attempt.}

My goal is to get a half pound every harvest. Is this unreasonable for 6 bag seed plants? also im assuming each harvest will be 90 days. But thats just what im hearing on the boards. Some talk about harvest each 30 days, but i dont understand that. As I understand it, its 1 month veg, then 2 months flower. or mabye my math is incorrect. So in a two stage system, what happends to the plants that have just vegged for a month? becasue they cant go into the flowering chamber cause the others still have a month of flowering.

p.s. Ive tried to reasearch everything, but forgot all about my NUTES :P any suggestions? Beginning to end?

Trust me, ive searched. Ive honestly been reading posts for a few hrs a day each day for a few days. And im still reading hehe.

I just wanted to ask some more specific questions. And yes, I know the nutes question was pretty broad :}

Welp I went out and got the 400w econo cool with american switchable ballast. Some b/w poly and some lightning reflective stuff. kinda like mylar.

Next step is to build my pvc palace :thumbsup:
