I am a typical dope smoker:

Iâ??ve been meeting so many people on this posting board, and the more decent people I meet the more upset I get over our current situation. We are, after all criminals, right?

This is not a generalization or exaggeration; this is who I am, what Iâ??ve accomplished and how I live. And again, I am a criminal because I smoke dope. If I omit any details, it is simply to help remain anonyms.

Iâ??m a Midwest conservative who was raised in a loving family that has always practiced a Christian lifestyle. My parents have been married over 50 years and my older siblings and I are all successful, happy people with wonderful families of our own by now.

Iâ??m also a high school state champion athlete, NCAA Div I competitor and highly educated professional with advanced degrees. Iâ??m an officer in my local church, father of three, sole provider for my family, married for 18 years and have never cheated on my spouse (and never will). Iâ??m prepared for retirement without relying on Social Security and I have my kids college accounts fully funded. I pay my taxes and have never been in trouble with the law (I havenâ??t even been pulled over for speeding in over 15 years).

But Iâ??m a criminal, because I smoke dope.

I donâ??t grow or sell, but have always helped my friends find dope over the years as they have helped me. Iâ??m not opposed to growing or selling, but the current risks are too high considering the level of responsibility I assume in caring for my family.

Modern life is stressful enough in trying to get by with no vices. Most people drink or take Prozac (or some other prescription drug) to help cope. After years of research and study, we have determined that smoking dope (at night, in our own home, after the kids have gone to bed) is the safest way for us to relax. We canâ??t overdose on dope, we canâ??t get addicted to it (aside from some people getting a minor psychological addition that only lasts a few days after you stop smoking regularly), we smoke with a vaporizer or filtered water bong, so we have no cancer risksâ?¦

But Iâ??m a criminal because I smoke dope.

I hide in the shadows and use code-words to mask our lifestyle when communicating with friends. I struggle like all of you to find quality from honest people. I groan with disgust as I watch our politicians continue to support the alcohol, tobacco and firearms industries (not to mention the oil industry) with open arms as they continue to hunt us down and lock up our friends, ruining otherwise wonderful lives in the process.

If I can drink, why canâ??t I smoke? No one with more then a 3rd grade education could possibly make a point that alcohol is better for you then smoking dope.

My doctor will tell me that I need to take a drug for my stress that will knock out my sex drive, then heâ??ll give me another drug to ramp up my sex drive to compensate, but he wonâ??t tell me that smoking dope will cure my stress and make sex more enjoyable in the process.

I am a responsible, successful business man. I am also a law abiding patriotic American Citizen(and Veteran), but I've got to be worried, almost embarassed to let anyone know, but it's no problem to go out with the big wigs and get drunker than Cooter Brown and drive, but it is taboo to smoke a spliff and lower the blood pressure. :thumbsup:

Thanks for words of encouragement everyone, I feel better after my rant! And sorry for calling it Dope, I should have known better, but since it's my only fulltime drug, it is my 'dope' (and this is the can-can message board, not the heroin board).

And you're all right that water bongs don't filter out everything (I do have a replaceable filter rigged onto the hooka stye tube that comes out of my home-made water bong - so that does helps a little more then a normal water device).

My manifesto did produce some results as I've meet several new friends in my area and state who could potential help me to continue with my criminal lifestyle. But always looking for more.

Everyone who can, smoke a fatty for me and I'll do the same for ya'll as soon as I'm stocked up again.

Yeah, me too. One time I was at home with my family, and I dropped my lighter from my pocket, and it fell on the floor. My father said "oh you better pick that up, or else you can't smoke YER DOPE!" haha later that night my brother (a junkie) and I smoked heroin, and he mentioned this exact same thing. He said something along the lines of "yeah it was funny what ... (he) was saying because I think of dope as heroin, not marijuana". Me too for that matter..

Regarding the subject at hand, I honestly think Americans in general need to lighten up. I would be so much happier in Amsterdam simply because the people use their own minds, and aren't being polluted and indoctrinated by government filth, shock slogans, and mindless propaganda. I hate the way the American government tries to impose on it's citizens a sense of "morality"; basically this "morality" that they try to teach us is just another form of control. They send mister DARE officer to come in to elementary school ( brainwash 'em while they're young), teach you all kinds of bad shit about drugs, then let the entire class go for a ride in the back of a cop car.. For being a country built on democracy, and with individual freedoms in mind, we sure as hell are being sent mixed messages. I think it's stupid to say that Marijuana is dangerous, to even waste government money on the prohibition of this harmless and benign drug is an appalling idea to me. Instead of decieving your citizens, why don't you smoke some grass and chill the fuck OUT, uncle sam. It's crazy, and to think that our own founding father George Washington smoked the herb. The DEA wasn't throwing HIM in jail.

The DEA is an organization out to make money, to give jobs to assholes, etc.

Let's think for a moment what the government really is. It's just the people WITH guns, controlling the people WITHOUT guns. Politicians really are the scum in this fight, because it's them who don't do what is right for the citizens. that's the problem with this country, the politicians aren't out to DO WHAT IS RIGHT FOR C ITIZENS! They are too busy looking good for the camera, deluding the public with their "image"--they are doing what is RIGHT FOR THEIR POLITICAL CAREER. Do you think they give a fuck about the country? No. They don't,that's why we see so many political scandals. See my point?
