    That plant looks very stretched...

If its not already, put into the 12/12 light cycle, and wait.

If you see balls you know its male, but if you see white hairs then you know its female... so you wont have to make another thread..

well, it is a 2 month old plant, but I have only had it on 12/12 for about 5 days...I have other plants that look like males because I can see the "balls" forming in between the leaves. Is it just too soon for hairs to form? This plant looks different from the ones I think are males.

Ok Let look a 2 things
Lets say its a female ,,, clone it with the tops your going to take off because it will double in size before harvest
Lets lower the lamp so the plant get the max effect of the lamp. Move your hand near the bulb when it just gets warm, thats the distance to the top of the plant.
Time is dependant on strain telling sex, The more bush the more bud unless its a scrog system. You can always add chlose pins to bend over the plant use wood ones.

    yeah -- what olsanclem said.

Get those clones cut now though! They have more rootability and better early growth if they're taken before cutting the light back.

You can clip clothespins directly to leaves, right where the fingers join the branch. Or you can dangle them from a pipe cleaner looped wherever you want it. Or you can tie off a bent stem to itself with the pipe cleaner. All good methods. Best done just before you water because the stems are all less turgid then. They're tough.
