I never realized that there was still such a conflict until I did outside sales in southern Iowa. I called on an account, ran through my line with the purchasing agent and when I was done he looked at me and said "You come from Canada don't ya". I told him I actually was from central Wisconsin originally and he responded, "Same damn thing!" WOW, that was my first call doing sales...what a trip!:stoned:

The thing is that here in the South there is no conflict for real...affirmative action has token its toll on some major cities but...anyway..our community is very diversified...you name a heritage and I am sure we have more than a couple of families from each heritage
Its to bad sometimes that you can't get a "tone' from posting on here because my last post was really in good humor..which is how we have always handled the few debates we engage in on that subject...we mostly try to keep our community growing in a positive manner..we evn have built a park together...for the most part..a great community. When I first traveled to New York..I got off the GW bridge and proceeded to get totally lost in the Bronx I think it was..anyway..a NY police officer pulls in behind me and I just stop in the middle of the road..he comes to my car and as soon as I said my first few words he started laughing and told me that he would show me how to get where I needed to be..because being from Alabama (haha..it was funny) I sure didn't need to be in that area,he then shined his spotlight over to the side where we were talking and people started ducking behind the bushes..and I am sure I saw syringes go flying too...That Policeman was so nice!! He was my first impression of New York...I thought Newyorkers were supposed to be indifferent but most that I met with were great people...could have been from the South except for the accent.
And this was shortly after 9-11..I know I don't like all the tolls in the NE..but PA this far is the most beautiful of all the states..where I was anyway..I have traveled to every State but the Dakotas...enjoyed most all the people I have met.

I hear ya. I spent a little time in Georgia, Tennessee and Louisiana and hell, people are people....ya got the good ones and the bad ones wherever ya go. I really liked Georgia though, very cool!
LOL...A hotel I stayed at in Atlanta, the lady that was on the phone for room service told me I sounded like a news anouncer with my accent......If I remember it was Tom Brokal (I know I killed the spelling on that name). LOL

you know Brooklyn, I agree with some of your points (too bad your a prick, but that is how I met some of my best friends)You have some interesting points, too bad you didn't present them in a more appropriate manner; I don't know who pissed you off, but I tell you...I can't spit without hitting one of you goddamn yankees down here anymore. later lw
And it still a fact that the union army railroaded Irish into the war, because they were asshole deep in getting there ass whipped...

Did you have any difficulty understanding what we say? I mean with the accent? As soon as I cross into Maryland I am usually asked to repeat myself at least 3 times before anyone understands me.
I love Atlanta also...years ago I was able to go to what was the real underground Atlanta...not even sure if it is still open..does anyone know about Underground in Atlanta? haha..starting to remember the good memories..thanks.
