Court Tommorow.
I was arrested in mississippi about a month ago on my way to Mardi Gras for possesion of around an 1/8. I paid a bail that was equal to the fine and told I didn't have to come back but tommorow I'm going to court to see what I can do about getting it droped or probation before judgement or something. I really need to not have a possesion charge on my record as within a year I'll be graduating and applying for many jobs. This will cost alot more than the 400 dollar fine. I have a 3.2 cumulative GPA and this is my first time being arrested for anything. If convicted I will lose my ability to apply for federal aid or loans which will also make it extremely difficult to finish this last year. I'm going to try to go in there and plead my case and try to get some kind of alternative punishment or a dismissal completely.
What can I expect tommorow? I've only ever been to court for traffic violations. Will I have a chance to speak to the prosecutor? Will I only speak to the judge? Anything specific I should say/ask that would help?

Dont sweat it. I had a Pell grant and graduated from college, while I was on parole for drug charges. I then applied with the state for a job and was told that they do not hire ex-cons with drug charges, needless to say that I took the tests for the jobs I applied for and was offered a job. I have always been up front with my record, which is long with major drug charges. I guess the government does not know what the fuck they are doing. So dont sweat it and if your so worried about a record, stop smoking weed. Cause if you break the law you will get caught in the long run.

The judge expunged the conviction from my record. No worries!

You think its gone? Please do check, both in person and online. I hope its gone, but doubt it. There maybe no conviction to see but the arrest can be seen be anyone. The popo's lie, the court lies, and the system lies. Simple fact. If its not gone work to make it gone. Good luck.
