A big problem with feeding buds to lizards is the low content of fat that most lizards have. Fat helps activate THC, so without it, the lizard would just get another vegetable snack.
I fed buds to my iguana and that little jerk bit me.

i don't personally know but i read, some of the first people to use cannabis as an intoxicant used to pull the bud off the plant & roll it in their palms until it turned into a kind of gooey stick, then they ate the bud from the stick. they must have got high otherwise it wouldn't have progressed to cooking & smoking. i think the main reason why canabis has to be cooked in a fatty soloution is because if you dont the thc goodness is burnt & used up.

No it is possible to eat bud but it is really stupid because eating it without a fatty substance means most of the THC will not effect you. You would need to eat a 1/4 or so. So it would taste bad and it would be a waste of bud.

Your wrong though, your stomach doesnt break it down, it needs to be extracted into something like butter.

sautee it in some butter or other substance containing lots of fat, mix that shit in brownies or cake or something, and enjoy the ride, my man!

Now the THC must be heated (catalyzed) to cause it to disolve out in to the fatty substance at a higher rate. The hotter you heat it, the more THC released (but not too hot, or you will break the molecular bonds that hold THC together). That is why baking works well - medium heat for a respectable time period, especially if you already made cannabutter. I'm pretty baked myself right now. Science is fun...

THC is active, yes, but it requires a catalyst (in this case a negative delta-H; AKA heat) to excite the valence electrons enough to form molecular bonds with the lipids, thus facilitating systemic distribution. This is an endothermic process in regard to the THC.

humans get high because we have THC receptors in our brain witch allow the thc to give us our "high" i dont believe that reptiles have them, most animals are said to not, thats why were so lucky!
