    growing in a closet

not sure on any costs, really, but I think lights will probably run you any where between 500-1000 bucks, the soil and pots, fertilizer etc. defintely be had for under a hundred. (my parents garden like crazy so I had most of this shit lying around when I got started) the closet space sounds good for about four to six plants, any more then that and you'll probably stunt their growth. you'll also have to rig someting so the door closes or you'll have a hard time regulating temperature and humidity. run power through the wall via an extension cord unless your an electrition!! cover the inside in foil and make sure your lights can be lowered and risen.

If your serious about growing the first thing you should do is get a good book on the subject.

what do u mean cover the inside with tin foil? the plant or the walls? and why?, on to other things. the tempeture is normally 76 in my house, so i'm fine with temp, infact perfect from what i have heard. anyways do u know anything that i can use that will help me control humidity? i live in florida so there is always a good amount of humidity here. I Also think i could slide something between the closet so i will be fine, (by the way when the closet closes to it's fulliest, there is probably about 1/5 of an inch left open, which i just realised). Also how many times should i water, fertilize, and resoil, per day, week, month, etc.

P.S do u mean the total amount from the time the plant dies, or simply buying the lights, not counting the electricity, and other things.

Have you ever touched a lightbulb? Imagine that, but in your grow room. If you set yourself up with some nice CFL's for vegetative, you could go all out and get an HPS for flowering, which is great for your plants. Second of all, I would suggest mylar instead of tin foil. It's a very reflective material and allows more light to be absorbed by the plants. Also, you're gonna wanna take care of that 1/5 inch. Just a little bit of light may mess up your flowering.

Try a mixture of 1/3 perlite, 1/3 vermiculite, and 1/3 peat moss. Add more peat moss if you need more drainage. You might wanna go with bat guano, or something else you find locally at a hydro shop. Make sure to check the NPK, and I really don't wanna get more into this now, so try searching the boards a little bit.

Good lights are gonna run you anywhere between, oh say 150 to 400, and even more if you're gonna put a cool tube in. The lights ALONE. It can turn into quite an expensive endeavour fast, especially when you start looking at more expensive ferts, tds pens, ducts for fresh air, etc. Really, really research this before just jumping right into it, and make sure you have the resources and are ready to deal with the consequences. After all, you wouldn't want to have a baby that you couldn't afford to feed, right?

ordinary soil and blooming fertizer yeilder much better than average bud even though I used ordinary bud seeds.. Home depot lights made healthier plants indoors than i had outdoors. 10 bucks for home depot's made for growing lights(the truth)

those home depot lights beat the california sun 2 times over for growing speed also. i'd put them through a flowering ligh cycle real soon or at least train tthe plants to grow via tie down ect

.... I strongly suggest NOT to grow in your parents house. I take it you're still a minor, and if any shit hits the fan legally wise, your parents will be at fault for YOU. It's not worth the risk, if you're making that much in a summer job, then just buy in large amounts and save your stash. But at least have the decency to not grow in your parents house unless you have their approval.

good point. Sadly, I just assumed he was just growing in his own house. Seriously though, your parents' house is a no go, no grow.
