First of all I just wana say Hi, this is my first post.
Past few months ive been collecting information on how to grow and I lost interest for a while but now its been rekindled. There's alot of good info around and just in the year that I wasn't around there's a load of new shit and techniques. Anyway on the practical side of thing's I have a few floros that I used to grow 2 plants around 2003, it was terrible, didn't even know about sex or anything back then, so now i'm hoping to make it more efficient and worthwhile. I'll only be growing one or two plants due to lack of ground place so I got a few questions to start off with.
My grow space is only 20 inch deep, 53 wide, 78 tall. So there's almost no room at all in it for more than 2 plants. Anyway the problem is I'm considering buying an HPS which is the next step up in any decent grow but I duno whether to get a 250w HPS or a 400w HPS. The pricing is almost the same but I have querys about the heat in there being so cramped. Is this a good idea?
Other question is about fans. Recently bought one cheap (PC fan 1400 RPM, 18dBA, 12V DC ), problem is because its for the PC its meant to take power from the comp so it only has a very tiny 3 pin plug, how would I go about attaching a plug that would go directly into the mains. Better yet how would I chain three together with only one plug. Looking for techical info or a website I can use cos i'm a complete noob when it comes to that shit as well. Sorry about all this info. Any help really appreciated.:dance:MegaOctane12 Reviewed by MegaOctane12 on . New Grower First of all I just wana say Hi, this is my first post. right i have an answer to ya last question
on the fans there is 3 wires red, black, yellow the red and black wires are ya elctical wires and the yellow is a fan speed controller wire that monitors rpm
right snip off the yellow wire as it is not needed and take the red and black wires peel off the insulation slightly and wire them to a 12volt dc adapter you can buy these from any hardware stall
snip off the end of ya adapter and there are 2 wires you will notice they are both black but one of them will be marked with lil white lines this is the wire ya will be attaching the red wire too twist them together insulate with electrical tape and do the same on the other black wire
then you are good to go
plug it in dude and thats it
cheers hope this helps

Ok thanks. What if I wanted to chain three together, so they all share one plug, is this possible?. Also is it possible to get some kind of adaptor so I don't have to open the wires up and can use it in the comp in the future. If not no worries.

no not possible
ya have to snip the adapter connection off for it to work just as i said
if you are wanting to have 3 fans running off the same adapter
just wire all the red and black wires together and then wire it to the adapter as i said befour
cheers hope this helps

Just metl away wth a lighter in middle of the wires and wrap your plug in wire around the bare spot. then you can tape the bare spots latter and return to computer.
