Good soil mix?

With just potting soil I would ad 80% peat moss to it so the roots can breath.

peat moss tends to stay too wet, used alone. Not enough drainage...hence the love...of more perlite!!!
really you definitely get great the drainage that was mentioned here. imho.

latewood Reviewed by latewood on 04-05-2006. Good soil mix? I'm kinda on a budget, and want a decent soil mix for my grow. I was going to go with fox farm soil, but it's just too expensive. Would regular potting soil mixed with some perilite suffice, or do I need something more advanced? If I need something more advanced, what would you recommend? It has to be affordible because I'm nearly broke, lol! Rating: 5
