MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- A Mooresville woman found a seashell with the likeness of the Virgin Mary and baby Jesus while walking on Wrightsville Beach.

Kathy Snow found the shell, shown on the right, in March 2005. Since then, she has shown it to several people, and everyone agrees that the Virgin mother's likeness is in the shell.

Now, it's for sale on e-Bay. Snow said she started bidding Thursday night at $25,000. The auction stays active for 10 days.

Some people are way too gullible. Besides, it looks more like an ape or a shark to me...

I can't fathom how someone could spend $25,000+ on a seashell. Do people realize there are 9,000,000,000,000,000 seashells in the ocean... i'm sure there's shells out there that look like snoop dogg smoking a fatty, it just hasn't been found yet! It's all what the human mind thinks it sees.. but when it comes down to it, its a shell.

Now that you mention it, it does kinda look like Snoop Dogg smoking a fatty.
