Hey bud. CFL, CFL, CFL.... Lets see... For vegative growth you want a bluer spectrum light (a cool bulb) and for flowering you want a more amber spectrum (a warm bulb).

Bluer light promotes rapid stem and leaf growth, amber light promotes budding.

Of course, the wattage and number of bulbs after that depends on # plants, size room, running costs, heat buildup, etc.

I personally dont flower with CFLs, but I find lower watt warm spectrum CFLs to be idea to germ with. Then for vegative growth for a small to medium-small plant, 3 30 watt daylight CFL's work great for about 4 plants veg.

Flowering, i aint even gonna lie to ya bro, no clue in the CFL wattage dept here.

Need CFL INFO Hi, i have heard you need coolwhite or warmwhite CFLS to grow properly, i was wondering if the soft white ones i have are totaly useless which i am guessing they are. I have seen "Daylight" cfls would these be ok, the pacakge only said that its like daylight :( I would like to know what to search for in stores, i would prefer not to shop online. - btw i am in ontario.
