No it doesn't smell, it was reccomended for tomatoes, so I would assume that there is no negative smell or taste associated with it. I opened the package, and they are small water soluble pellets with no smell.

I am 3 weeks into flowering, and would like to lower it to 6.5 or so. I bought garden sulfur from my greenhouse, and the guy there said to sprinkle a tablespoon or so on my 10" pots and then water. Should I flush the pots with tap water over the sulfur, or just give it a normal watering? I want to make sure that I change all the soil, as the roots are taking up the whole pot.
