Extremely unpleasant experience

I recently had an extremely unpleasant experience after smoking cannabis. I have smoked it before and experienced positive effects. I am slightly concerned about my reaction as it was completely different to the normal effects of cannabis. Anyone have any opinions?


The effects:

Intense fear of my girlfriend pulling a certain facial expression that I called â??the wiggly faceâ?�. E.g. in tears, refusing to look at her, shouting â??donâ??t do the face, please donâ??t do the faceâ?�. Certain words and noises resulted in a similar reaction. She recorded some of my reactions with her video camera.

My girlfriend was eating a slice of pizza and suddenly I pushed it out of her hand in a defensive gesture, then immediately thought â??why did I just do that?â?�

Extreme confusion and lack of short term memory - Every 10 - 30 seconds I thought â??whatâ??s going on?â?�, then remembered that I had smoked cannabis, then remembered everything Iâ??d done and realised that it was very strange, then became concerned that I was mentally ill. Then it was like the situation was reset, and I suddenly forgot everything again and didnâ??t know what was happening. This process repeated for about 3 â?? 4 hours. Towards the end the effect got milder. This was extremely unpleasant.

Lack of control over what I was doing â?? e.g. moving objects across the room and then thinking â??why did I just do that?â?�

Mild visual changes (happened towards the end). At one point my girlfriends head was in focus and everything else was blurred. At another point, everything seemed flattened, like I was looking at a painting and my girlfriends nose and eyes were just unrelated objects in the painting, rather than part of her face.

Yeah it was weed, smoked from a bong. I've smoked almost as much of the same stuff before and been completely fine. I did smoke it in a much shorter time period though.

It happened really suddenly, I was just generally stoned for a bit, laughing at nothing, and then all of a sudden I was completely fucked.

In the first few minutes my girlfriend was trying to talk me and I wasn't responding. I remember her repeating "are you listening to me?"

The reason I posted is because as far as I know weed does not have the effects I described, and i'm concerned about why it had that effect on me.
