if anything, i would guess it'd be a scare tactic... alot of people when they feel 'busted' will just come out admitting it, hoping that even after all the shit the cops gone through to get the truth (and sometimes it can be pretty fucking ridiculous, yet these people wonder why the cop gets aggervated when they had to go through 30 mins of bullshit to find out the truth that person a has been lying about the whole time, i can understand why some of these cops get pissed....) and yet they lied anyways, that somehow this sudden last burst of honesty will spare them from jail... that'd be my best guess... one thing i don't understand tho, is why the cop would pull something like this knowing he's going (or could be, i dunno how the actual footage of cops works, if they show it all, or only the good shit, which coincidently i'd much rather see a shoot out or a raid then some guy getting pulled over and carted off to jail for two bears and a roach in the ashtray) to be on tv, and that pretty much every city in every state will have atleast one person see his ass saying this bullshit... it would be kind of funny to see this tho...
~cop pulls car over, guy jumps out, obviously intoxicated to high hell and back, runs up to the cop car...~
"look occifer i'm sobor i can cross my eyesss, caaaan i go now?"
"GET THE FUCK ON THE GROUND NOW!!"
