I did manage to get out to the Riverwalk. Went to the marketplace -- the mall -- located by the Mississippi at the junction of Poydras, Canal, and Julia Street. You can tell it's New Orleans, but if you've lived here for more than a decade you'll notice something's wrong.

That's twenty-five years to recover it to how it was before. At the moment it's live-able, but..

Out in St. Bernard Parish, East of New Orleans -- that's a different story. Sometime after Hurricane Katrina made land fall a couple 250,000-barrel storage tank were reportedly lifted off their foundations by floodwater and shifted several something feet. More than a million gallons of oil was released into the floodwater due to some of these storage tanks being breeched.

Some say it's going to leave a lot of land uninhabitable.

And still has yet to be cleaned up fully.
