I had bubblegum in amsterdam, lovely smoke, quite sweet but definately not a clear taste or smell of bubblegum, Don't take strain names too seriously, a lot of it is marketing

Jonny's right about the strain names, but you CAN give the green some fruity tastes! It's all about curring it right. I've tried gange thats tasted like orange (not very good in my opinion, more like orange peel), rasberry, strawberry (my favorite!), blueberry and even cherry (a close #2). My friend says she just cures her green with moist fruit, and the buds take on the taste. I gather it takes a while though (like 6 months) but don't quote me....

Bubblegum is a nice smoke, but like the others said the names should'nt be taken literally.
