DIY Pyrex Bake-A-Round cool tube
DIY for one cool tube.....You will need a MOG socket (they don't sell them at HD) but most hydro stores or electrical wholesalers do. ) They make cash sales over the counter. Good place to get bulbs too btw.
From HD you get:
2 4" vent metal collars
2 4" hose clamps
1 Roll of window foam weather seal tape (thin)
1 4? angle bracket
1 roll of metal silver foil tape
Either pop rivets or small nuts & bolts to assemble.
(x)ft of 12 gage 3 wire extension cord
That will make one unit.Zandor Reviewed by Zandor on . Take the tape and put it over the ends of the Bake-A-Round
Then take the foam tape and place at each end. The tape helps protect the ends of the glass that break easy. The foam tape lets you get a good clean seal with out over tightening the hose clamp and saves stress on the glass.

Fit the collar over the cool tube end and bend the fingers evenly so the seal over the tape but not tight. Next tape the end of each collar overlapping to cover the fingers of the collar on the inside

Straighten the angle bracket out and mark the center. Now you center the bracket over the middle of the collar and mark where to bend the attachment ends. You should only have about a 1" of bend on each end to make a "U" it attaches to the bracket on the inside of one collar.
The Mog socket attaches to the center of the bracket and the wires stick through a 1/4" hole you drill up close to where the join point where the fingers are bent. You drill just behind there.
Even if you use small nuts and bolts a flex dry vent hose will still fit over the collar end as well as a regular 4" 90's.
You can eye bolts to hand the lights 2 of them are easy to install, just make sure they don't get in the way of the glass.
