first grow-lowryder twins??????

so a friend of mine is growing lowryders for his first grow under a 1000w mh, he knows hps would be better but he's using what he has. light ruffley 18 inches from plants and fan constantly on plants and the light to reduce heat. started the 10 seeds in a germ box, under florescents. worked great all 10 germinated, ohhhh what luck! but it gets better at three weeks the males were much taller and obvious males, as luck would have it there were only 2! so 8 out of ten female to male great luck! but then he noticed that one of the females was growing as two plants!!! 1 seed 2 plants? that's what we don't get, he's never heard of such a thing. so when it's all done and said he got 11 plants out of ten seeds and 9 were female. does this guy have some luck or what!!! is this a twin or what the hell??? the twin or mutant is the smallest of the plants of course but budding all over both stems, amazing from day to day how much these plants advance.
he started all ten seedlings in miracal-grow(he knows better now) but they all are at 5 weeks and in full flower mode under 24/7. white hairs everywhere at this point. lower leaves were getting a little yellow and were treating w/ a feeding and everything seems to be heading in the right direction, three other plants in w/ the lowryders in veg stage, 1 white widow, 1 ak-47, and one mr nice guy all getting along real well also, he's looking to veg these plants the whole life of the lowrydes before budding them in 12/12, should be some big plants. any advise for my buddy to help from tis point on......

Get a strong male and make some seeds with that female plant.. maybe he can start a new strain with that plant.

BIGGEST PROBLEM IS YOUR LIGHT MH is for VEG the Spectrum doesnt suit for flowering.
LR's have no veg stage so the MH is better than nothing but if going to invest in good seeds such as the ones you stated why not put some cash up for a HPS light for flowering? It will double your yield without a doubt.

thanks for the advise, i've been saying the same thing...always have been told hps will increase yield.....then i'm told by some oldtimers that is hogwash....only experince can fully answer our questions.

the Mh turned out fine for the lowryders i don't think i could have guessed the yeild but it deffinately exeeded my expectations for sure. 9 female lowryders ended up with 5 ounces wet. all under ony MH1000wt. people around here are in awe, have the first z sold for $500
