On erowid it says euphoric feelings and shit.. though is highly addicting...so is mdma right? well my point here is ... whats good about heroin effects and whats bad... just wanted to know... The reason heroin has such a bad rap is because of untrustworthy dealers.

You see, heroin is so expensive that most dealers and distributors cut their stash with chemicals like rat poison and strichnine. Basically, whatever is the cheapest look-alike powder they can find.

100% pure heroin wouldn't deserve the same bad rap that street h gets.

It is HIGHLY addictive. If you get hooked you'll probably need professional rehabilitation to get off of it. Don't kid yourself and think "I've tried mary and I'm not addicted, I can stay off heroin too."

H gives you extremely feelings of euphoria followed by a very depressing crash when you return to the real world. This is why most people become addicts. They love the feeling of the high so much that being in the real world is just boring. People go on H binges like they do with coke. It's scary stuff, kiddo.

yea i saw a documentary about the life of heroin addicts + ICE, METH and coke addicts...and it aint cool.

they bascily wake up each moring scab the money to find the drugs, when when they do they shoot up all day...go to sleep, wake up then repeat. everyday

most of them were living in the streets, or in slums, with their families ashamed of them and never in contact with them..

fuck herion and all those drugs...yea sure im curious and id be tempted to try it once. but i know i would want more and get addicted cause im addicted to the high from dope, and hate not being stoned. and if herion makes me feel like the king of the world, i know i will want more and eventually i will be an addict and my life wil be fucked..

I tried heroin. Basically it just makes you feel really relaxed and well, and you just don't give a fuck. you feel very pleasant and at higher doses you feel very very pleasant and get rushing. then you drift off into wonderful sleep. when coming down i got the sweats a little bit but it was a fun experience. just try to not do it so often you know?

I have an extremely addictive personality as it is..give me a physical and psychological addiction on top of that?? No way man, id be living in the gutters and alleys looking for herion for life (which would end up being pretty short).

I think it should be legal, though. Legal, controlled taxed and regulated.

But like alcohol, meth, crack and std infested streetwalkers..i wouldnt fck with em

It's generally not an instant addiction, the addiction to opiates usually happens over time. Your mind and body will become acclimated to opiates so subtly that you will be physically addicted before you even realize it. Do H, or any opiate, for long enough and you will become addicted, and you will suffer from withdrawls. Some people take longer than others to become physically dependent, but that doesn't mean it won't happen to you.

Now if you're going to smoke some H every once in a while are you going to be an addict? Of course not, but say you start off doing H once in a blue moon, and then it becomes once a month, and then once every two weeks, and then once a week, you're still not addicted right? Then you start to get cold sweats out of nowhere. You think nothing of it, but when you smoke some H it all goes away, and then the cycle starts. H binge, getting sick from withdrawls, taking more opiates to feel better, rinse and repeat.

The general population might over-exaggerate the dangers of Opiates and Heroin use, but that doesn't mean it can't kill you and it doesn't mean you won't get addicted. Be careful, be safe, and know the risks.
