The reason heroin has such a bad rap is because of untrustworthy dealers.

You see, heroin is so expensive that most dealers and distributors cut their stash with chemicals like rat poison and strichnine. Basically, whatever is the cheapest look-alike powder they can find.

100% pure heroin wouldn't deserve the same bad rap that street h gets.

It is HIGHLY addictive. If you get hooked you'll probably need professional rehabilitation to get off of it. Don't kid yourself and think "I've tried mary and I'm not addicted, I can stay off heroin too."

H gives you extremely feelings of euphoria followed by a very depressing crash when you return to the real world. This is why most people become addicts. They love the feeling of the high so much that being in the real world is just boring. People go on H binges like they do with coke. It's scary stuff, kiddo.

Ya heroins got a real bad reputation for turning people into junkies. But hey anything is gonna fuck you up if your doing it to live. My advice is you can do it just dont do it often, moderation is key. But ya I dont like the idea of putting a needle into my arm, so Ill stick to Oxys.

Duhrickjames, your statements are on the right track but I find them to be inversely exaggerated...if that is a valid expression. Street heroin is generally cut with a plethora of other substances depending on the area but most should be absent of strychnine or poisons of such toxicity. Dealers don't necessarily want to kill their customers, at least not so instantaneously.
More common cutting agents are lactose, mannitol, sugar, vitamin b12, talc powder etc. It is true these cuts can make use of street heroin harmful by precipitating collapsed veins and infections for intravenous users.
The user never really knows how pure their heroin is and there is also a risk of it containing other, more potent opioids such as fentanyl. If they had originally been using impure product and then receive some of higher-purity or which contains active cuts they might not bother to test it and instead go right to administering their 'normal' dose, risking an overdose.

Many people seem to believe heroin must injected. This is not true, it can be insufflated and smoked but shooting gives addicts the most bang for their buck. Heroins never made me 'crash' either, just itch and sleep.

That thing with everyone going THAT far to get the most bang for the buck is just creepy.

Theres no such thing as moderation with heroin....whether or not you thing you can 'just walk away' you cant.....you'll always remeber how good it was and everytime you have a problem you'll think hmmmm no i lklittle toot/dig would just take that away just now. Even after say 9/10 years clean.

Unless that is your one of the lucky ones who go, bluuuuurgh and are sick everywhere and hate it, but they are rare.

"If a man smokes 3 pipes of opium a day for three months he will be as addicted as a ninety year old addict" Opium Conference in the 19oo's testimony from a chinese delegate

    My advice STAY AWAY

If a man does anything pleasurable three times a day for three months he's probably going to find it difficult to stop. Of course he'll have withdrawals but likely less tolerance and thus less severe withdrawals than a 99 year old addicts. Note that a person addicted to opium or pharmaceutical grade heroin could live the rest of their lives that way. Society doesn't allow use of opioids as a legal commodity, but of course they are still available on the blackmarket.
Unfortunately heroin is twice as addictive as morphine which comprises about 20% of opium. Not many underground organizations are going to import opium. Instead they use the raw opium, purify it and convert it into a more active product which is then redistributed, cut and purchased by a user who has no idea what it contains at a high price.
