Telaire 8001 pinout for RJ45

Can anyone please post the rj45 to db9 pinouts for the Telaire 8001. Would like to get into it and make some changes. I don't have the cable and would like to just build one.

RJ45 is the typical network connector plug... like a phone cable plug, slightly bigger.

DB9, I'm not sure... not sure at all... might be the small Serial connector?

The Telaire 8001 is a CO2 sensor/controller. There is a cable that connects the 8001 to a computer. The 8001 has a RJ45 (looks like a phone plug) the other end has a DB-9 (serial adapter that plugs into any computer). If someone would post which pins on the RJ45 go to which ones on the DB-9 it would not only benefit me, but this board....

You use this for CO2 monitoring, such as if you were to use it in a grow room with CO2 injection and wanted to keep the levels at about 1500-1600!!!!

I googled the snot out of this, spent 4 days looking, and looked on any board I could think of. Figured that someone must have the cable here and could just use a quick VOM to check the pins on it.

Sounds like a intriging device and seems pretty cheap for a pc monitor. I would contact the company. They should be able to email you the info you need.

I just saw this. Were you able to get it working? Did you build the relay that goes with it? How did that go for you?

I just fired it up and it was registering a high level. Turned on TEMA with mixed air to settle down the levels. Gone from 2500 down to 1300 in about 30 min, so it is recalibrating itself.

In getting the connector figured out, man... I had to use a 10x scope to see if there was any traces on the board. Saw what was wired on the board and used my common sense to make a cable. No problem... nailed it the first time. pins 1,2,3 (l-r) on the sensor and 2,3,5 on the DB9 (not the right order)

I'm hoping that the sensor settles down to what should be about 500ppm in the room with outside/inside air mix.

I have actually built a controler that switches the fan, the lights, senses temprature swing of 10 degrees, switches the CO2 on/off, and detects darkness (no CO2 at night) for about 40 bucks... whats that a 350 dollar savings!! I should post the schematics for this... might be over the head of others, but some might be able to understand this. Now just have to get the CO2 tank filled.

Also - If I can't get it self-recalibrated, could I just use canned nitrogen as a zero point reference gas?
